Anton Tang is a photographer from Singapore with a portfolio that includes the unusual still life of "Danboard". If you were wondering, Danboard is:

Danboard or Danbo for short is Miura Hayasaka in a cardboard box suit from the Japanese manga series Yotsuba&!. The figure is from the Revoltech line by the company Kaiyodo. The figure is plastic, has movable joints, light up eyes and stands around 5" tall. There are several versions of Danbo ranging from a mini Amazon version 80mm tall (pictured above) to full sized Amazon & 7Eleven logo marked versions.

Well that solves the mystery. And in case you're thinking these funny little things pretty much photograph themselves, Anton Tang has a nice selection of animals and architecture to prop up his portfolio. Solid work!

Searching Flickr will reveal just how popular the phenomenon of Danboard photography is. I make no comments on artistic merit, but it's fun to view on a Monday afternoon.
